Party safely
Partying with friends can mean many things like going clubbing, going to parties at friends’ homes, going to gatherings at parks or the beach, or going out to hear bands.
When you are partying it’s important to remember not only how you’re going to have fun, but also how you’re going to keep safe.
Sexual assault can happen to anyone, but there are things you can do to lessen the risk.
- Plan before you go out
- Be aware of risks
Have a clear idea of where you will be going and what you will be doing. It is a good idea to sort out your transport in advance, especially how you will be getting home.
It is important to know who you can contact for help if you need it. Think about what kind of sexual contact, if any, is acceptable to you before you go out.
Choose from the list on the left to find out what you need to know.
